A friend near Gray's Hill Landing, Beaufort, SC
I am drawn to water, both in respect for the precious element and obsessed with it's fleeting forms, flickers of light, the rhythms and resonance, constant motion and change - the ebb and flow of tides, the currents, and whispers of wind. My paintings capture the element and its environments, most often along the shores and marshes near my home and studio in Beaufort, SC. I began painting as a grade-schooler with art lessons at a local YMCA. I went on to college to study art and art history and spent the bulk of my professional life as a creative director in advertising. I continued to pursue my personal artwork and now have the privilege of devoting myself to it full time.
Over the years, I've been represented by more than a dozen galleries from New Jersey to Florida but currently offer my work solely online.
